Beyond the Classroom: Why Museum Experiences Matter
Museums turn learning into an adventure, inviting young children to explore, play, and discover beyond the classroom. NAEYC recognizes museums as rich learning environments, even for infants and toddlers. Recent research shows that playful museum experiences can spark curiosity, real-world connections, and early STEM thinking.

Little Walks, Big Discoveries: Learning in Our Neighborhood
For babies and toddlers, every neighborhood walk can become a little adventure. A fluffy brown dog, a tiny white puppy, soft green grass, colorful flowers, buzzing bees, and fluttering butterflies invite children to notice colors, sizes, textures, sounds, and movement. With caring adults naming, wondering, and exploring alongside them, these everyday discoveries nurture language, sensory awareness, curiosity, and a growing connection to the community they call home.

Our Story:
My professional journey began in media and the arts, but I found my purpose in education. After working with children as a K–12 substitute teacher, I came to understand how fundamentally the early years shape a child’s development. This led me to become an early childhood educator and earn my California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit.
Working in multiple preschool programs showed me how difficult it can be to provide individualized attention and meaningful learning experiences when teacher-child ratios are high or even low in a large setting. Becoming a mother strengthened my commitment to creating the kind of care I believe every child deserves.
I founded Bright Sun Day Care as a low-ratio, small home-based program where children can feel secure, connected, and valued while learning through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. Just as importantly, I am here to serve young families and make everyday life a little easier by providing high-quality care within their own community—reducing long commutes, supporting parents, and building lasting relationships among children and families.
I will continue to grow as an educator, children’s advocate, and lifelong learner alongside the families I serve.

Families enrolled in monthly tuition do not pay a separate enrollment fee.
Families enroll for a six-month term, providing consistency and allowing Bright Sun Day Care to maintain stable relationships, predictable routines, and individualized learning plans. This continuity ultimately benefits the child by supporting secure relationships, a sense of belonging, and consistent opportunities for learning and development. Tuition is still paid monthly, while your child’s space is reserved for the full six-month term. Families who choose this commitment also receive a discounted monthly tuition rate as a benefit of long-term enrollment.
